Bangor Daily News - San Francisco-based personal finance site NerdWallet.com released its list of the best places in America for women entrepreneurs, and eight out of the top 10 were in the Midwest or West Coast.
East of Minneapolis, the only places to make the list were Portland-South Portland, Maine, and Bridgeport, Connecticut.
The Portland-South Portland metro area was ranked No. 9, while Bridgeport was up at No. 2.
Boulder, Colorado, topped the list.
