Maine unemployment lowest since 2007

Maine's new unemployment rate of 4.5% is the lowest since 2007.The number of active job-seekers declined by 8,200 over the 12 months ending in August to 31,100.Maine’s employment-to-population ratio estimate of 60.2 percent remained above the U.S. average of 59.4 percent for the 95th consecutive month.
